Samsung has patented smart jewelry
Intelligent jewelry, which controls the functions of electronic devices, has been known for several years now. Never before has it gained popularity, being a niche product, but it may soon change. Samsung patented the design of the smart ring.
The miniaturization of mobile equipment for the time being seems to have been halted, and although mobile phones have been getting smaller and smaller over the last few years, nowadays, the reverse trend and the next generation of smartphones are becoming bigger each year. This does not mean, however, that engineers abandoned the concept of miniaturization of devices.
Samsung has just introduced a patent describing a smart ring that can be used to control home smart home systems, smartphones or TVs with Smart TV functionality. For smartphones, the ring can be used to display pre-programmed functions on the screen.
It can also send automated commands that enable room lighting when a user enters it, or turns the TV on by setting it on the user’s favorite channel. The patent also mentions that the ring could work with social media, though it is unclear how.
